Many groups have carwash fundraisers to raise money and get the funds they need to run their nonprofit group. Carwash fundraisers are fun and a very popular fundraiser to do. However, it is very important to stay organized in a car wash fundraiser.
During the carwash fundraiser with all kinds of cars lined up and trying to proceed with production it can appear to be chaotic and this is problematic for making the most amount of money.
It is important to have your carwash fundraiser well organized and well staffed. It is best to break the carwash into shifts and have half the kids come in the morning and half the kids come midday to relieve the kids who have been working.
It also makes sense to set up cones to guide the traffic and the cars that are waiting in line to get car washes.
More Character Traits for Youth Leadership Development
Youth leadership development needs to integrate additional character traits for young leaders. The following traits may be developed among young people as they strive to become better individuals and as community leaders.
Organization. They need to understand how organizations work and how they can delegate tasks and responsibilities more effectively. Through this, they will also learn how to handle meetings, deal with difficult people and manage an organization effectively.
Optimism. The world is full of people who see the glass as half-empty. Youth leaders need optimism so they can spot opportunities for growth and for improving their leadership and their organization. Optimism, however, must not be taken to the extreme. It also involves accepting defeat when it’s inevitable and learning how to grow out of that defeat.
Risk-taking. Leaders sometimes take a fall-some are harder than others. But if they do not risk their neck and their reputation, then they will not also learn the value of victory. Young leaders have to come to terms with the level of risk they can take comfortably. They also need to learn how to establish safety nets in case some of their risky maneuvers fail.

Youth leadership is important especially in politics, business and nonprofit sectors. After all, when leaders grow old or when their terms of leadership expire, they need to pass on their leadership and let the younger folks lead the organization they belong to. Sometimes, however, people organizations need grants for youth leadership programs because the organization does not have enough money to cover the cost of these leadership programs. If they will just let the young people go on without receiving the training they need, when they finally take over the organization and become leaders, they will fail!
